Today Volume XII of The Collegian becomes a closed The next issue of the paper will 6ee a new editor and staff publishing the sheet, and it is with regret, but with best wishes of success, that the present staff turns the reins of management over to the new regime. There have been mistakes made in the paper this year, for everyone is apt to err, but the staff of The Collegian has continued to publish a paper which it is hoped.the students and faculty have appreciated. Although there is a great deal of work expended on the publishing of a paper in a college, the ntaff has had a good deal of fun in publishing it, and has enjoyed the experience. There is no need to review the year's work in this issue for every reader knows what type of paper has been in vogue throughout. The paper has attempted to do things; and in a large part has succeeded. It has criticized institutions on the campus that have never been subject to criticism before, in turn, has been open to criticism be- luse of its tactics. The policy of the paper could be summed up in the following statement: "A paper that has not been afraid tc say what it believed." It must be admitted that such i policy is a radical departure from the established prcce dent for a college paper, and consequently because of it- style, students murmured; yet the paper continued. In addition, because of its policy, the paper made on- emitfs on the campus which is one regret we hope will soon be eradicated. We are sorry for this, but events were such that it could not be helped. So as we 1 with a flourish, the word '"THIRTY," we hope that the animosity will soon die.
