If Aviles were compared with any one of his peers, he would clearly outshine them. If he were compared with anyone of the three executives who get salaries, ofllces. persona] computers, personal aides, etc.. he would have accomplished more in terms of Innovation and tangibility. Of all people on the ballot, Avlles has best qualifications for president. For three years, he was elected to office and faced severe government racism, but was resilient because of the belief that he was doing the right thing. He has earned his due. I am almost happy that he Is not considered marketable. because of his refusal to buy Into the system and look the part/' of a diplomat This year, 1 will not vote for any office seekers who have run before. I no longer believe In them. In their place, I will write In Frank Aviles for president and vote only for new faces who are progressive. I entourage other people to also write-in Frank Avlles. If I had wanted Image over accomplishments, then I would have voted for Reality. I no longer want to support any of those that are so apt to save the corporat ion. It was because of the setting. Soul setting. I knew where these characters lived. The people on screen lived in my world, my actual world, nothing having to do with Bulldog Country ana Cedar and Shaw. They lived In (he same houses, chased the same girls and went to the same parties I did when I was growtng up. Fat people drank down enormous deses of Dick Gregory's diet formula, housing project extended families sat transfixed before the tube as the teens In question scurried about readying for the big party and there was this running cop Joke that couldn't have been less subtle or more right on. For a period clocking in at a little under two hours. I felt a little less alone tn the world. This said, I can In good conscience choke back a grimace and see one of the lambada flicks, because there is a certain point where a movie becomes a little bit more than the sum of its reviews, technique and corporate reason for existing.
