With the slate analysts saying CSUF doesn't need the buildings which are costly to maintain, Johnson said that could mean one of the San Ramon buildings could be removed as early as this summer. But, he added that CSUF must "negotiate with the sUte legislature" to save them until the new business school is built. Because of recent developments in high technology computer use, he said, the new business building is designed to have more lab space than the current facility. "The students need hands-on experience with these (computers), and not just lectures to tell the students what it's like," said Johnson. All junior high school activities will begin Friday at 2:30 p.m., while elementary students from Fresno city schools will start.performing Saturday at 10 a.m. 'Students will not be "competing," Bochin said, although they will be judged on their artistic performance. Part icipants choose the literature that they will recite from memori_ation, he added. Most of what will be performed, he said, will be children's literature. Judging will consist of CSUF faculty members and graduate students from the communications department. They will award the participants certificates on the basis of fair, good, excellent, and superior, performances.
