For 19 meals i week, the student will pay $323.40. Students who want a single room will be charged $351.90 for 30 days on the 14 meal plan while those wno opt for 19 meals/week will pay $365.40. While none of the sororitys alumni board has decided on concrete figures for next year. Panbellenk Council President Dana Novacek estimated that the average cost for room and board at a CSUF sorority next year could run between $225 and $275 per month. a-day plan, said Novacek. Some houses do not serve food on Sundays, she said. Girls just entering a sorority (pledges), pay higher fees because of pledging and initiation fees than girls who have already been initiated, said Novacek. The dB's produce tunes in the best tradition of the American popm style. a logarithmic measurement of energy, are Chris Stam- ley (guitars), Peter Holsapple (keyboards). Gene Holder (bass), and Will Rigby (drums). These four guys, hailing from far-out-of-the-way Winston-Salem, North Carolina, have done their best to make pop bands respectable again after the humiliating shambles the genre was left in after the meteoric rise and fall of the Knack. The dB's new album. Repercussion, is the sort of album that you like the first time you hear il; its easy to hum along with and tap your feet to. At times it is easy to identify the dB's influence; sounds reminiscent of the Byrds, the Raspberries, the Eagles and even the British pop sound of the early Beatles spring up occasionally. But, these bands are just that, influences. The dB's have their own distinct style of pop music. 'Nothing is Wrong* sounds similar to the Eagles tune, "Last Resort* on the Hotel California album. But there the similarity stops. "Nothing Is Wrong* laments the loss of love and innocence, but in the end expresses the belief in the ultimate healing powers of time. *l Feel Good Today" is a thoughtful tune praising the strength of the human spirit in an acoustic Byrds-style.
