Creeks go watermelons
about fraternity rush

For watermelon eaters only Lambda Chi s are giving an all-Creek water
melon teed tonight from 6-8 p m Could this be a preview to their watermelon
bust on Sept  21?
Instead of a TC this Friday, Sept 7, the Interfratemity Council is sponsoring
a dance from 8-11 p m in the cul-de sat to kick-off Fraternity Rush Each
fraternity will also have open house
F*r*-^om* and post game parties gaftj set the mood tor the first home football
game on Saturday as the second day of fraternity rush gets underwav
Sunday Sept 9 through Wednesday Sept Q all fraternities, will have open
house and theme nights promising entertainment tor everyone Preference

Sigma Chi s started off last weekend nght by hosting the TC By the way,
the letters TC* are an abbreviation for 'Thank Cod it's Friday'
A TC is a weekly celebration hosted by a fraternity on F ndav afters■* s
the early fall and late spring   They are held from 4-7 p m   to honor the upcoming weekend
These social gatherings take place in Fraternity Mall complete with a band

Close to 2.000 sun worshippers attended the last TC and enjoyed the music
of Cry Star while socializing in the last of the hot August sun
Following the TC the Lambda Chi Alpha s held a Back-to-School dance
Friday evening It was truly a "Disco inferno' as over 500 students danced to
the music of Palisade
