THE DAILY COLLEGIAN Personnel Committee's decision racist The rationale of last year's personnel Committee tn denying the Distinguished Teaching Awards to Nathan Heard, Richard Keyes and Richard Haas can only be viewed as a feeble attempt to mask the racist nature of their decision. Heard and Keyes, who are black, have both been active In working for causes that are distasteful to the administration. Haas, who Is white - through genetic Inheritance or the grace of God, depending on how you look at It-has unfortunately been taken along for the ride.
