The California State Colleges have adopted a uniform code of student dlsclpUnary procedures aimed at providing 'fairness, promptness and finality.* The 19-campus policy was Initiated through an August 14 executive order of Chancellor Glenn S. Dumke and became effective upon Its receipt by college presidents. The new procedures supersede those previously ln use at FSC which called for dlsclpUnary hearing panels made up of faculty and student representatives. The regulations require a staff coordinator to recommend one of three hearing types for students charged with campus conduct ln- fracUons. Defendents pending hearings are subject to Interim suspension should a president "determine such action to be required ln order to protect lives or property and to Insure the Lesser offenses will be processed through informal office hearings by campus administrators.
