—The Fresno Stat. College Collegian— l.f. A GROSSE -s just plain EDITORIALLY SPEAKING \ Vote Today The turnout during the student body and class primary elections last week was poor. Only 1,373 voted—exactly six more than last year. But considering that there are roughly about 500 more students attending Fresno State College now, this slight increase actually represents a decline in student This decline is hard to understand. Plenty of candidates; were in the running, including three top notch contenders for the student presidency and three pretty coeds vying for student body secretary- The incentive was there, the polls were easily accessible. Why didn't more students vote? Ignorance, perhaps? Students just didn't know or care about the candidates? But The Collegian tried to play up the principle candidates, and let them tell their aims and backgrounds. And certainly the candidates themselves did enough campaigning. The Collegian offices will be shifted to the old campus administration building into offices in Room 206 on the second When we learned we were being evicted from our old home, we reluctently selected these offices instead of ones on the' new campus because we must remain close to facilities in the n department, and the offices on the new campus are inadequate and inaccomodating in any case. But for the convenience of students with us because of our temporarily isolated status the ties office in the new campus administration building will continue to collect written notices for us, and we have set up a box in the student offices of the bookstore for the purpose. Letters to the editors, club notes, facts concerning ts and other announcements may be left at these tot places with the assurance they will be picked up promptly. ;ln' We will announce the exact date of our departure as soon "' as possible along with the phone number of our new offices.
