The news that the old Union will be torn down soon probably does not evoke any excitement from thc average student because those days of normalcy arc almost forgotten. However, to older students with reminiscing minds this will cause a moment of nostalgic remembrance. It is true, that the "Co-op" was a filthy barn, drafry and cramped, but it was used during the days of peace when student hearts were lighter and more carefree. 1 here were thc carved tables, and thc roue.li floor, thc paper walls and thc sagging steps: the genera! hatred for the poor food, and the alleged high prices. There is a moral in this, lor, in comparison to thc new chromium and concrete Union, thc older structure was a livelier and gayer place. It's crudities were, for the most part, ignored, and an atmosphere of student activity permeated the "shack."
