Where There's Smoke . . .
Fresno florists would be hard put to fill
their orders should a lire of any consequence
tweep over the college.
For even today, any smoke not definitely originating from a Lucky means fire—and, to
most people, fire means RUN, run as fast and
as far as possible. A conflagration can accomplish the anagramatic impossibility—blazes can
make, run spell trouble.
Last January, after the Boston nightclub
, holocaust, thefc was a renewed interest in1 fire
drills. Action was even carried so far that neatly
typed cards with signals and directions were
scrotch-ejped in rooms in every building.

become an indelible part of his subconscious.
Too, psychologists will confirm the fact that
in moments of panic, only force of habit will
overrule the primary instincts—in this case, one
of Self-preservation, expressed through making
the fastest exit possible. Obviously, two reforms
need to be introduced into the FSC safety program: larger, conspicuous signs and frequent
drills.

no benefit at all from what technically is theirs
