Presently they will enter the pedagogical ranks, there to infli better or worse thc lives of unknown of the states children—mold juvenile minds and ideals during the formative and most crucial period of life. It is indeed a calamity, then, that statistics the nation over show that those who take teacher- training are in thc lowest brackets of intelligence and scholarship. The profession has got to thc point where those who have the mental acumen to become valuable assecKtp the educational system of thc natioti, call teaching a "racket" and those in thc profession "I.Q. Sixty's." A facile, scholarly mind would rather slave over a drafting board on the long road to architectural glory, than, other things being equal, enter the ranks of classroom Last spring's Carnegie Foundation report showed that one out of every eight high school seniors knew more than the average teacher- , training candidate. The world will go into a case of stage fright equalled only by the terror of the times. With Herr Hitler, thc play will be but aaothcr Opera Bouffe to keep the rest of the players scared and backing them off-sage where the center position will be securely his. Surrender by thc Western Democracy players is necessary fot Hitler to provide him with necessary resources - for his leading role and as long as he can do it by slow moves his part is secure. Refusing to believe that his stock-in-tricks is wearing thin within its own Act. Hitler is merrily moving ahead with German economic and human material subordinated to his whim. He will not believe that his Aa has reached its peak of internal struggle and must decline; therefore he anticipates another political victory to provide thc necessary materials fot his Aa. Thc play will be certain of an audience from thc gallery to the Diamond Horseshoe with free tickets for all.
