Thus thc educational institution1 of the famed San Joaquin Valley will probably become famed for thc brand of war fodder that it turned out in the years of thc Roosevelt National Defense Pro- For lately it has become known that the administration of thc college has put on file with the Civil Aeronautics Association an application for funds with which thc training of college students in thc ways and ' " ~~ tray begin. At the present time a $350,000 experiment in the training of students under army rule is taking place in various educational institutions of the -nation. Included in thc National Defense Program now pending action of Congress is a substantial amount devoted to that one cause—the training of 20.000 air pilots in thc colleges and universities of thc nation.
