Vague repoi from offices of the Comm boys at Fresno State are bewilderment that they hopefully signed their n, Unlike the Navy and Marine Corps Reserves, the prodigal sons of thc Army are kept in a constant apprehensive state as regards their military status. Thc Army Air Corps Reserve has received the only semblance of definite news to be sent by the Army. And even they were only notified that their calls would come immediately. (Still no definite dates mentioned.) The ERC unassigned group is, still under thc heading of "near future" material. Thc so-called Brass Hats in Washington, and elsewhere, seemingly insist on keeping thc boys guessing as to future moves. The "near future" clause could mean a period anywhere from two weeks to two years in duration. Thc 100 or more Enlisted Reservists at State would appreciate a communication from the War Department outlining their status with definite dates instead of vague remarks. Only after such definite word comes will students in these reserves settle down to a more studious effort.
