Nelson hss been ssked to organize and administer the accounting and management departments of the Caltfornls Polytechnic School at San Luis Obispo, the first of the state schools for naval preflight training. Six hundred enllated naval men are stationed there for six- week periods throughout the year. Nelson will handle the finances necessary for housing, feeding, and instruction of these men, as well as similar expenses Incurred by !00 regulsr students csrrylng on agricultural projects. The plsn Nelson works out will probably be used as a pattern by other Institutions to > be used ss military training centers. The comptroller will assume his duties at San Luis Obispo February 15.
