Ten Years of Good Work
Thursday night the Fresno State College faculty, students and many others will gather at the Hotel Cali-
fornian to honor the tenth anniversary of Dr. Frank
Waters Thomas as president of the Fresno State College.
The Collegian takes this opportunity to offer its congratulations to the man who has for the last ten years so ably
guided administrative policies of the college.
Since his ascendance to the presidency, the college has
progressed steadily, largely through his untiring efforts
during the past decade. The college has gained much prestige in the outside world during his administration.
Thousands of students have come in contact with Dr.
Frank Thomas during the decade he has just completed
and they all bear testimony to the fact that their association with this man is something which they will long
cherish. His pleasing personality, his sincere desire to
help, and his unyielding determination in fighting for
those things which he believes right and for the best
for Fresno State College will never be forgotten by those
who in their undergraduate days have had the opportunity of associating with him.
To the many students who have not had the opportunity of personal contact with Dr. Thomas, the Collegian believes they have felt his influence indirectly through
the college itself. For what is the college but a reflection
of what the head of the institution has made it? In finishing his first ten years, Dr. Frank Waters Thomas
may have the feeling of self-satisfaction in knowing that
his job has been well done. -^
The Collegian, in congratulating the president of
Fresno State, at the same time wishes to express its own
sincere hope that it will have numerous opportunities of
doing the same thing time and again in the future.
