THE NEW REGIME
The will of more than 1,000 Staters
vvas expressed this week in the annual
spring elections. The result ol* the voting
ts a new slate of officers for she corning
school year.
No sweeping statements can be made
at this time about the next year. The year
will be. as far as student activities are
concerned, whatever the recently elected
leaders want it to be. If they present
something of interest to the student
body, council meetings will be amplv

If thev plan effectively for Varsitv

will result in a good-sized addition to the
war memorial fund.
Council and Ws are certainly not
All of the college student activities—but
thev are important parts. Another equally potent one is student representation
on administrative committees. Whoever
conceived this idea had Something.
Whether or not the Something will be
given a chance to develop into what it
should be the strong voice of students
in administrative affairs -is a matter
that must, for the present, be left to conjecture— and to tbe new Regime.
Suzy said to be ready at 8. so I put on a

eyelids, and tried to look bitter. I was really
dreaaed for the part. In the movies a shiny,
