It feels that the two be separated. Yet there are times when the disassociation i two becomes practically iminis.'ible. When the legislature meets again in Sacramento, the bill to make Fresno the California State College at Fresno will again be presented. The success or failure of the bill depends on the men who make up the law-making body ot the state. Therefore, it is imperative that the men who are elected are pledged to work for the passage of the bill. The paramount question, then, to us as students of lege effected, is to see that we support men who. In tu support the bilL We can not work too strenuously in this respect. The people of the valley must also become eonsdou- of the fact that the liberalization of the college is also to their advantage. t help them become conscioua of that fact. Attracted by San Jose State's varied curriculum and by the high quality of instruction offered, students are already coming from all part* of the Pacific State* to attend San Jote. Among notables in the field of education wbo are teaching at San Jose State are Dr. T. W. MacQuarrie, president of the institution. Dr. Jamet C. De Voss, Dr. George E. Frcclnnd. and Dr. Carl HoUiday, who have written turd published books, each in his own particular field. A registration of over 2500 students for foperted by the college.
