Effect of tte Budget Cut
We are hearing a lot tie "j-osed Uic   ...
Budget Cut. and ju-t how   it will affect the Fresno State College.
The results of such an uetion on the part of governor Richardson
are evident.   But the justification of ».uch a cut is hard to see.   The
San Joa/|Uiti Valley covers an area larger than many of the states
of the miion, all of which have several colleges and univcrsif
Likewise it has a larger population than    'Veral states that 1
decidedly better College facilities than it can boast, even i
and if the progress of the Fresno State Junior College is to b
seriously retarded as the proposed cut threatens to do, there
lie little chance for the student of limited or even moderate means
to go beyond his home town high-: ehool in quest of an education.
Thus, the negligible savings which fill result to the tax payers of
today, as a result of the proposed system, will cost, the fathers,
