Much turmoil and disunity has come about of the 'big shift' fpom the old campus to the new. As of year, the Fresno Uunior College already had taken ove much of the old FSC campus that, while remained on it, it could not be called ation at FJ campus and the old one,-by agreement, is rightfully This year, of course, only a small part of the old is left to us at all. The humanities division includ nalisra department and The Collegian offices s harbored on the old grounds as well as the business science and speech divisions plus classes of the art, home id engineering fields. Bat it all boils down to this: FSC is rapidly consolidating an its new campus. The confusion of moving is not over but the end is in sight. It will take many years to create a new e freshly built FSC. Yet, we still have our traditions of old. And we must remember new traditions have to be founded on the successes of student activities. You students of the new campus, which will be officially dedicated next semester, must consider yourselves pioneers. But unlike most pioneers, your building job should entail no hardship. On the contrary- since traditions, school spirit, and school spirit, in essence, is only an enthusiastic student body, working together in full support of the y student activities. The job is really a very pleasant one. The Collegian editors shouldn't have to apologize for lack ol spirit. We .shouldn't have to write editorials vainly exhorting you to partake in campu; spirit. No, it should and must come naturally to you as an important part of college life. There is a lot more to college ' n than just book learning. You have to learn to be izens as well.. You have to 1( another, to promote and carry through group is the American tradition. Now we have said all we are going to say about school spirit. If you each help develop it you will get richer dividends from your college education. If you don't, you hurt yourselves and you deprive FSC of ! CHEVRON BULLDOG* SERVICE H. W.
