COM MJ^N T S Too Much Waste At FSC The FSC Association BoartJof Directors passed the highest budget in the school'sS»^tory>his week. Over $50,000 of the $58,215 total has been grrtmetTfor student activities. That's quite a sum of money in anybody's pocketbook. Since it If such a laige amount Mad sine, the association's reserves mav be somewhat depleted to balance the budget. The Collegian w as more than a little peeved to see some of the waste of t attitude toward property than is of The Collegian strewn about While part of our gripe is surely personal, we fee* that everybody pays fpr the paper because his student body card sales help support it. Carried one step further, it logically follows that everybody is entitled to a copy of the paper. And there weren't enough to go around this week, partially because of the afore-mentioned waste. Now it becomes necessary to purchase several hundred extra copies—at $3 per hundred—twice a week so that all .*.„t„t. ™... v,«,.« a copy. This adds up to more than $500 the students n And that's quite a sum too. The Collegian realizes that it is not as good as a commercial daily newspaper. Hence, maybe a lot of students aren't interested in reading it. That's all right—no complaints from quarters. But. if you are not interested, leave the paper for somebody else. The same applies in other est in Fresno State, then just "let things lie." Don't take gripe out on the pocket-books of the other students. Annual Brawl To Feature Activities By Both Sexes Continued from Page I Roses And Razzes Razzes lead off this week, as well they might. Complaints have reached FSC President Dr. Arnold E. Joyal that students eat their lunches in cars and then throw paper, bottles, etc. out on the sidewalks and lawn. As Dr. Joyal put the disgrace, it "certainly public relations." To the freshman class in general. .. many mem student body have voiced disgust with the attitude of the frosh, particularly with regards To the various Creek organizations who find their hearts and pocketbooks too small to support the rally dances on Saturday nights ... one reason why the rally committee broke last year. Roses: To the 281 frosh who found time to vote Wednesday. To some of the frosh girls who cheerfully work the tedious, unpublicized school projects. To the students who will cheer their lungs out Saturday whether the football gets "skunked" or not.
