There is a state law against gambling, to say nothing of a law maintained to the letter-by the city of Fresno. The petty violations that occurred recently may seem insignificant and slightly funny—a big fuss over nothing. . Even Now, On With The Work The rally committee is operating and has a/lot of plans for basketball and spring semester sports: it will hot die for lack of funds; some individuals have had a finger pointed at them, indirectly or otherwise, and a fuss is dying down. Any way you look at it. points have been made. Perhaps there is not enough money for the rally group to operate for 9 months to rid FSC of a "Podunk college" complex.'In the past, many rally committees have ceased to exist after football season, and not because of lack of money. And "after football season" has been the-boom period of FSC athletics for a few years. < * This school has one of the best college baseball/teams in the country and it has been taken for granted—an attitude that has not been evident during the grid season. Track at FSC is on the way up again. Basketball is better for the most part. What is this thing of overlooking the "other" sports when sometimes they have been all to look for on the FSC athletic ■ horizon? This is not a slam at football. It's improving greatly and after all. football is the big display window. The present committee knows there is a basketball team and a spring and aims to please with some spirit.
