-The Fresno Star*; College Collegiar EDITORIAL COMMENTS One short school year ago we picked up the typewrit where many of our predecessors had left it, and made up o mind to do the belt job possible. The issues ticked by—t' by two, week in and week out—and the time until the It issue was due grew shorter. Today, that day is here. We're limited in space today . . . and every publicati day. So we can't possibly say thanks to everyone who played a part in aiding this idealistic editor along that rockstrewn path. But we must say thank you to some . . . To Ernie and Bob of the Central California Typographic Service; let no one at FSC think for a moment this paper could get out without them. To Mr. Shepard of the journalism division; we're at the end of a college career-—a rough one that took seven y from high school days . . . and we've made it with than! him . . . the best of best guys, any faculty members who've lent words of pi To the athletic department ... the members of which one day see what we were trying to get at. To the fraternity and sorority boys and girls . . . who, will one day see the light. (You've provided us with » good copy, kiddies). To Hal Beatty, a prince of a fellow; Elwyn Schwi of what they ■ los, s; the " joun school, one day, the best of collegiate publications; the c less others, God bless'em ail. To Jim Crumpacker, we leave the torch. A good boy, I whose ideals will probably get the same rough treatment i It's been a trying experience . . . and call it a cliche, if will . . . it's been worth it. We've never been so glad in life to get out from under something . . . and yet, like the l said, we wouldn't trade the experience for the world. We out lasted some of the old foggics who started the| year out with us—Dud LeBeau, back in his beloved air f " Art Margosian, in the air force, but apparently not too much] love there; Don Curlee, who is back in the Ozarks, enjoying' life at five gees per annum . . . much better than this journalism racket. A good bunch of boys, each of whom took an important something with him when he left. Before we get carried away with this nostalgia business, we'd better sign off. Like we said, it's been a good year. And also, like we said, we're tired. Best of luck to you, FSC . . . all things considered, you're a pretty good school.
