His methods of treatment have Included acupuncture, crunchy granola and scream therapy. Yet when I reported for my annual checkup last week, with what I thought was a case of premature gout I had no Idea of what was in atore for me. I sat on the examining table wearing an oversized paper napkin while the doctor went through full diagnostic procedures. He intoned mysterious Incantations such as *Mmmm-hmm,* 'Open please," and -Howerya gettln Finally he stepped hack and said, "John, your aliments are not of a physical nature. The I s I agreed and began doing eight- count pushups on the floor. "You're right, doctor,"1 shouted enthusiastically. *l feel better already! • Dr. Freemore called for help and within seconds he and his nurses had me tied down on the examining table.
