They don't seem to care that they may block other drivers from leaving the lots. Some of these drivers arc merely thought¬ less. Others, no doubt, are far superior in numerous ways to the great majority who take the trouble to park legally. But in spite of being superior, or perhaps because of it. rhcy should condescend to consider the other guy or girl, who may be i v ihe the . The student police can catch only a few such Big Shots in the act. But a few would be enough if the student court would slap a meaningful fine on them and splash their names around a bit, so that students who cuss their anonymity could take a good look and know whom they're cussing. I find myself in bed, and whoever heard a lying committee. Standing committees, yes, but as tongas I am lying, I will lay the mittecs on the table alongside the motions and talk about the horizontal position. There is much to be said for lying — in bed. It gives one the Upward Look. I never re¬ alized twforc how well-cracked the plaster was overhead. I can see designs in those cracks — river systems, the partition of Poland or Germany, effects of earthquake, segmenta- tization of personality. - / Cracked plaster ought to be just as useful as a Rorschach test if someone was trained in plaster. This new learning reminds me — the doc .-ays one of my little cartilcgc discs has slip¬ ped out from under its vertebra and changed me from an upstanding citizen to a crook- . d. lying one. I knew I had cartilege discs — which are gradually being calcified — up¬ stairs. Maybe I've borrowed too many of 'cm from my character and used 'em in my intel¬ lect. That's what's wrong with lota of bright college boys. I've been using these discs to record lec¬ tures on. By going round and round in the groove I can get a fair reproduction at test time. Of course I ]jggin with soft discs so I ran use them over several times. This way I can't tell anybody what I learned last year, but I'm sure hot on this semesters' stuff. If you have trouble with your cartilege dw-s, and if you're weighting your-head down with too many of 'em. and have an aching back and weak character and have to lie, hearken: Lying is beneficial On one's back. Lying is beneficial Done in bed, Socially. And to salesmen During small talk.
