At least, no startling e been forthcoming from the tmittee or the English depart- i-ullin Two weeks ago, the committer voted down (7 to 5) a proposal that'the one-unit course then that the proposal would be brought up again with additional "evidence" to support Rut no overt action has been or is being taken, so English 100 will stay a one-unit course. Students will continue to gripe or flunk or both, or else those teaching the course will reduce the work required so that it will he commensurate to credit given, thus cutting the value of the course by half. ME WORRY? ROUGH GO? Midterms are over and finals are just around the corner. Three weeks of classes arc left before the Christmas holidays, which start Dec. 17, and three school weeks after the vacation will conclude the semester. Got any unread texts or unwritten term papers?
