"The biggest job ahead of us will be to get our players ready, forget about last week, correct our mistakes, and go after the Bulldogs," Anderson related. The Bulldog-Spartan rivalry dates back to 1921, and San Jose has won exactly half of the 30 games played since thai date. FSC has won 15 and three have ended in ties. The Spartans won wins by the Fresnans. Both teams have had their troubles lately. Besides losing squads are both coming off bad seasons. The Spartans were 2-7 last season while the Bulldogs were 3-1. Other players to watch for on the Spartans are split endtJwlght Tucker and defensive halfback Al Saunders. Tucker was SanJose's top receiver last year and scored a touchdown against the Bulldogs. Saunders, a former national record holdine swimmer, IS con¬ sidered to be a candidate for Little All-American.
