The DaUy CoUeglan LETTERS FROMA.OUR READERS State most distressed to read about the possible suspension of 14 per- l' student body privileges for allowing friends to use their duly purchased student body Although the cards < say "Non Transferable,* the question ls whether lt ls the stu- "4 right to give the card to whomever be pleases, as long ss lt does not constitute a financial loss to the Association. Thus, if two persons are using is card, through whatever devious means, they should be punished. However, If the card ls being used merely to allow one person to participate, ls It any¬ one's business who that person The Association has a com¬ plete monoply on the FSC campus. According to the bylaws of the student body card prohlbltsone's using the bookstore, cafeteria; or participating in Association activities, such as plays; or re¬ ceiving copies of the campus pub¬ lications. Have we any choice when we go through the registration" line? One person told me that when' her scholarship ed, she was handed the payable s $50. Yet the total fee for admission Is $38. She was not given a choice. One has only to look on page four of the" Fall Schedule of Drop Deadline If Today Today ls the last day to drop a class without a grade. There¬ after, a grade of «W' or W for the dropped class wUl be Courses. 'Have exact registra¬ tion fee ready tor cashier (CaU¬ tomla residents, 7 or more units, $50.00...,' lt reads. Where ls the choice? We, ss members of the Asso¬ ciation, are entitled to copies of sllflve cording to tbe Fresno State Col¬ lege Bulletin (page 36), three at no charge. However, only 4,000 copies of the CoUeglan are print¬ ed; only 4,000 copies ot the Di¬ rectory, and only 3,000 copies of the Handbook. We may be entitled to one copy of each of the afore¬ mentioned, but there la no way all 8,500 of us are going to re¬ ceive our rightful due. Without knowledge ot most stu¬ dents, the Board of Directors apparently directed ganlzatton (Student Activities Of¬ fice) to exercise gestspo at last Saturday evening's foot¬ baU game. Students are asked to sign their card, agreeing "to conform to the rules and the by¬ laws of the Fresno Slate CoUege Association, Inc.,' under penalty of forfeiture of the receipt (stu¬ dent body card) and/or suspen¬ sion of membership privileges.
