APRIL 10. 19G1 Ejection Fever Takes Hold Of 41 Aspirants EDITORIAL COMMENTS Of the many candidates running for positions on the Fres- ) City Board of Education in tomorrow's Fresno election, member of our Fresno State College community stands out as the most qualified to fill one of the three vacant positions 1 the board. That man is Dr. William Dicnstein, professor of social ience and criminology. Dr. Dienstein has for many years taken an active part the affairs of the college as well as actively participating Fresno civic affairs. Dr. Dienstein is widely recognized as an expert on juvenile ilinquency, having been a member of the California State Juvenile Justice Commission for the past three years. He also served as President of the American Society of Crimin- ilogy for two years. Coupled with his background in the field of juvenile de¬ linquency, Dr. Dienstein has had broad experience s teacher at all levels of education. Dr. Dienstein's basic educational philosophy is a sound He puts the emphasis on improved counselling and guida with increased attention to behavior problems, to rei juvenile delinquency. He supports vigorously the need for competence in the fundamentals of education. Dr. Dienstein is also urging the establishment of a trade school for Fresno youngsters who cannot or will not "i the grade" in regular high school. His work as an educator as well as an instructor at Fresno State has proven both effective and inspiring. Dr. Dienstein is the best man for the best education.
