—Th* Fresno Stat. Col log* ColltaicHi EDITORIAL COMMENTS Unimpressive Greeting We hope last Monday's "noon rally" for Cecil Coleman, FSC's new football coach, is not indicative of his stay here. The hastily planned and organized event brought o around 50 students to greet the coach. The press, radio ,and TV were there, but the students weren't. The show was al¬ together unimpressive. . It was a nice gesture on the part of ASB President Marvin Harrison to try to stage the affair, but he flopped siderable measure. He neglected to tell anybody at Fresno State what he was going to do. Consequently, nobody had time to prepare to greet Coleman. This "rally" is the sort of thing that keeps the stigma of small timeism on FSC. The students cannot even get together | to greet a new football coach, who will possibly Harrison funds for how much success will he have when the public sees the photos and movies of the "rally"? Not very much, nobody wants to support a student body which cannot prop¬ erly organize a greeting party The incident might have come off better if Harrison had waited a day to contact groups and other students to tell of the "rally."
