(he difference between Democrais and Republicans or some other damn 0 some pmhead w cops and a Stingray, those of you who spent lonely Saturday nights In front of the bedroom minor, squeezing pimples and reading Descartes, Locke and Hem¬ ingway so you could impress coeds with your brilliance — Well, frankly, you've been wasting your time College girls don't care about Des¬ cartes, Locke or Hemingway; they care about pinheads with ham-sized biceps who drive Stingrays and listen to Peter Framplon (If you wanl women who are impressed by intellect, you might try Harvard, Yale,*8erkeley. or Stanford — but you better show up driving a Stingray.) If you've been rjuscang up your mind. you ve been squandering needless energy — energy that you could have put into bodybuilding and working at the grocery store to earn enough money to buy a Stingray. At the same time, there are clubs that revolve around students' profes¬ sional objectives such as the Com munlcatlve Disorders Student Group and the California Young Farmers. Most of these dubs are very special¬ ized, and as Lundal explained. "If you're not one of those people you probably don't belong to that group." For the more general student population wishing to capitalize on the social scene, the campus abounds with several social organizations. In¬ cluding the fraternities and sororities.
