High Point Foundation is at 5337 N Millbrook Ave, and the phone number is 222-5695 Senate makes La Raza 'essential' 1 ftaj The Senate' s only amendment to the programatic review task force report centered on the development of a CSUF list of essential programs The CSUC Board of Trustees cur¬ rently subscribes to a 1963 list of man¬ dated programs which all schools in the system must offer Three pro¬ grams-La Raza studies, ethnic studies and women's studies-are not on that mandated list. Because the three programs' sur vival was if the university did not take some action, the Senate agreed to put the three programs on a CSUF list which would treat them as essential programs to the university. In other action, the Senate -Accepted a policy on remedial courses and credit by examination, approved by the Executive Committee at its Feb. 26 meeting; -Approved a recommendation on CSUF Outstanding Professor Award, -Took a secret ballot to fill the vice chairmanship vacancy which opened when Richard Ullman, former vice- chairman, stepped into the chairman¬ ship position after Dr William York's resignation Dr Roger Lajeunesse was nominated.
