The members of the board, whose resignations are effective immediately, are Drs. Wayne Brooks, Allan Hewitt and Izuml Taniguchi. Also voicing discontent with the Administration's handling of promotions were Drs* Frank Powell, James K« Smith and Frank Golshi, whose terms on the board have just ended. The Board of Prcmojl 'ns is charged with evaluating faculty members and making recommendations for promotions. The rocoromnndations are then submitted to Dr. Louis Volpp, vice president for academic affairs, for action. According to a Joint statement released by members of the board yesterday, Volpp "used substan- Gerontology course A two-unit course entitled "Gerontology" will be olTered this semester through the CSUF Extension Division The course, taught by Marie Welch, a professor of nursing, will cover the problems older citizens have with economics, health, and living. The course will also discuss the use of drugs by older adults, the high rate of suicide among older citizens, and what to do with an aging parent. The rains came Monday when the department had about half of its approximate seven acres on the ground drying. As of yesterday, one acre or approximately two tons of raisins had been lifted and placed in the dehydrators. The dehydrators have a three ton capacity and it is expected to take about 12 hours for the drying to be completed. Petruccl said that if the weather doesn't improve they would "get the whole gan^ out there" to lift the remaining acres.
