Bryon will be casting for the major characters in the Peanuts comic strip and all auditioning will be expected to sing. Stage Director Ed EmanuEl will hold auditions tor the soul-stirring 'Man of LaMancha* in the John Wright Theatre. Those auditioning will be expected to have a musical selection prepared and be ready to dance. The musical, which has been des¬ cribed as having a cast ot thousands, sketches the experiences of Don Quixote and his man-servant Sancho Panza, from Quixote's famous encounter with the windmill to his final defeat by the dark enchanter. He got his ** through a process mandated by the A.S. constitution after last year's president, David Ditora, resigneo re. lowing rus reewcoon When Ditora was running for reelection last spring, It was known he had applied for a fellowship with the state senate in Sacramento. According to Sepurveda.Ditora had been putting out the word he probably would not be accepted into the fellowship program. At the time, Ditora was running on a slate which included Sepulveda and current A.S. Legislative Vice President Jeff Watson. After Ditora was successful In his reelection bid. he announced he had been accepted as a state fellow and International musicians lending hand to new station Two Internationally famous musicians, Latin American harpist Alfredo Ortiz. and flamenco guitarist Juan Serrano will be featured at the 2nd Annual Radio Bllingue Fundraiser on Friday, September 12, T960. Alfredo Ortiz, who plays the Paraguayan harp, per- . forms folk music from all over Latin America. Flamenco guitarist Juan Serrano Is considered to be one of the finest flamenco guitarist In the world and frecjoently performs on l national television. Radio Bllingue FM 91 has recently begun broadcasting 8 hours a day from 4 p.m. ' to. »midnight daily.
