The first night's ac¬ tion will begin at 7:30 pitting Far Western Conference cham¬ pion. San Francisco State (1S-11) against Independent Chapman College (19-6). California. Colles-ate Athletic Association champion, Fresno State (1&-7) will face the CCAA runner-up I'C Santa Barbara (17-0) In the second game to start nt 9: IS. Winners will meet the follow. Alter collecting only Tour hits last week-end against Santa Clara and the University of California combined. Beiden will shake-up the Ilne-up to try and find some batting punch to go along with the pitching. The Bulldogs were held hlUees by the Broncos and collect**! only four against tho Beers, winning 3-0. Three ot tho safetiea came from outfielder Dick Rath. Woody Smith another outfielder also ■bowed hitting promise accord- in** to Beiden. Among some of the men trying to break into the line-up are third baseman Phil Mastagnl, first base¬ man Terry Helienrader, sbortstop Tom Colwer, catchers Mike Elor- duy and Lewis Ayotte, and out¬ fielders Manuel Fagundes, Jim Wolfanerger, and Mike Weaver.
