Intern Program Offers Students Pay And Credit The departments of business and Journalism have an Intern program by which a major can receive practical Job experience with pay and receive college crcd- - The Fresno State College Collegian- -Pag* t the i time. The journalism program is con¬ ducted during the summer only. Journalism IDS Is for majors in¬ terested in reporting while Jour¬ nalism 19U is for public relations and advertising students. The students usually work for a news¬ paper or organization In the San Joaquin Valley. They receive a maximum of six units. If the stu¬ dent Is fired from his Job. he falls the course. Similar I*i-ogrnrii Business Administration IS9 Is. like the journalism programs, open to upper division studenis. It Is conducted during the aca¬ demic year and not In the sum¬ mer. The purpose of the class Is to help the students lie together (lie theories they hear in the class¬ room with practical applications.
