Brown announced this week the appoint¬ ment of Mrs. Phebe Conley of Fresno to the board of trustees of the state college system. Mrs. Conley, who replaces Dr. Mabel E. Kinney of Los-Angeles, Is the wife of Presiding Justice Philip Conley Of the firth district court of appeal ln Fresno. A native of Sacramento, Mrs. Conley was a student ln art and philosophy classes on the Fresno State. College campus during the fall semester. She was graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College and took a training course In social work at San Francisco Polytechnic. Among the 10 members or the board of trustees of the state college system la Mrs. Seymour Malhlesen also of Fresno. Mrs. Mathlescn and Mrs. Conley will serve tour-year terms on the board of trustees. COURT DISCIPLINES CAFETERIA PRANKSTER Following a hearing on Tues¬ day, Jan. 16. the Student Court recommended to the Dean of Stu¬ dents that a Fresno State College senior be denied the use of the cafeteria until Mar. 1. The student, whose name was withheld, was accused of miscon duct ln the cafeteria by the cafe¬ teria staff. The Incidents listed involved walking on tables, riding on the dish belt and playing cards. The card playing charge was denied by the student. The recommendation of ih< Student Court was reviewed by. the Dean of Students and accep¬ ted. The students will meet again on Thursday to write themes and will meet a third time ln smaller groups to discuss the television lecture and their themes.
