"I knew there was a big desire
to get [San Ramon] corrected, but
they were more enthusiastic than I
had anticipated," he said.
A lack of state funds has forced
the building to be^in use for much
longer than originally intended, ac
cording to Welty.
Welty said a lobbying effort is
underway to place a bond measure
on the ballot that would increase
funds for education. He said sUch a
measure is critical for the limelj
undertaking of future projects
