The show, now in if s second year, is gaining popularity with every passing week. %> "■ The show got its start in the fall of 1993 following a trip to San Diego by Chavez. "I heard XTRA sports 690 down there and I wanted to bring sports talk radio to Fresno." Soon after, Chavez took over the last hour of Ed Bove's show on KFSR and the show was born. Flyers were cir¬ culated and word began to spread of a talkshow on KFSR. The lead- in show, Adam Brady's "Primetime, Drivetime, Showtime", helped jumped rat¬ ings also. "He was the perfect lead-in for our show." says Chavez. "People would listen to his show he would tell them that our show was coming up next and people stuck around and lis¬ tened to us." vacant by Claborn. Brady was corning back from a few months . off aftertheending of ''Primetime, Drivetime,* Showtime"; and Chavez welcomed the change. Then, early in December of y "Adam really brings a lot of 1994, the show had if s third big knowledge about Fjgsno State change. Adam Brady replaced Dennis Claborn as the show's co- host after Clabom stepped down. KFSR Sports Director Eddie Garcia/who originally launched the show, felt the show was due for a change. "It seemed to me that the show had gone as far as it could go'\vith Dennis and Marseilles doing it together. I wanted to bring in Adam as a sportstothetableV' Garcia agrees. "Accuracy and knowledge isvery important for this shov^r, and Adam is very accurate." While Brady feels that his knowledge of Fresno State sports "is extensrve^fae works at Fresno State Sports Iru6>marion),he feels that it is not hisgreatest contribu¬ tion to the show.
