Naked Lunch is one the most iiniqlie and rare pieces of music to hi t the shelyes in years. Containing 11 songs and 4 interludes, "Spare Ass Annie and Other Tales'* can delight the most avid reader and the biggest alternative music fan. Backed by the creative, po-# litico, hip-hop sounds of the band The Disposable Heroes of Hip'hopricy, William S. Burroughs narrates passages from some of his. books Such as Dutch Stiultz and The Oat In¬ side,.- The descriptive and'very dis¬ tinctive sound of Burroughs' aging voice is haunting, yet hi¬ larious at times. At pearly 80- years-old, the" former heroin addicts' mere accomplishment able Heroes set up a perfect 'music bed for the alarming and sometimes offensive words of Burroughs. The avant-garde style of make this recording come alive. The album's second track, "Spareassannie." has by far the most memorable melody.
