Dr. David Quadra. Quadrowillbe tbe acting dean pntil Dean Luis Costa, tbe current dean, returns to the position. , Costa has been out of the office during past months because of a brain tumor. A recent resurgence ofthe tumor has brought him under a physicians care once again. Quadra was teaching public speaking courses in the speech com - munications department until last week, when he took over the ad¬ ministrative position. He has been a department chair inthe speech communications department for six years and has been in central ad¬ ministration for 11 years. Even thoiigh Quadro has never been a dean before, he said he has administrative abilities at the uni¬ versity level.
