This weekend's win puts the Fresno with a score of 15-10 ' Leading the Bulldog attack were junior middle blockers Lesli Lopes and Tammy Lopez each with nine kills, a career high for Lopez. While Lopes had two attack errors out of 20 total attacks to give her a .400 hitting percentage Lopez went crrosless S^women's volleyball team eighth in - out of 14 total attacks givng her a .643 the Big West 3-8. and 13-10 on the season while Fullerton stayed winless in the Big West 0-11. and 11-17 on the season. The Titans were no match for this more spirited and relaxed Bulldog squad "Everyone's playing much more to¬ gether, relaxed and with a purpose.'' said Sliester. Fresno State killed Fullenon in the first two games with identical 15-4 scores and nipped them in the third for ihe match Defensively, the Bulldogs looked to the twins to dig them oul as Michele Simms and Melissa Simms-Ferrari recorded 11 and 13 defensive saves (digs), re¬ spectively. Pitting the defensive team totals against each other, Fresno State leads in all categories with six service aces lo Fullerton's four, 51 digs lo 30, three solo blocks to none and six block assists to four. On the offense, the Bulldogs recorded 40 kills and 11 attack errors out of 91 total niKKks for a team hitting percentage of .319. Fullerton's offense, marred by hitters who missed the sets, had 30 kills and 22 attack errors out of 116 total attacks for a percentage of .069. Fresno Stale travels to the South Bay today to face former NorPac conference rival the Santa Clara Broncos in Toso Pavilion at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs lead the Broncos in all- time meetings 18-3. Santa Clara has not beaten Fresno State since 1985. • The Broncos enter ihe match 15-10 on the season and 8-1 in the West Coast Athletic Conference. Setter Julie Jamile will direct senior kill leaders outside hitter Rosalynn Honsch, 263, and middle blocker Stacey MacDonough, 261.
