"The money is approved by the regents in a lump fund and distrib¬ uted by the president to execu¬ tives, so that each one gets about $26,000 per year. It comes from a non-state-funded, university- funded endowment fund," Malas¬ pina said. "The spending is governed by guidelines on how to use adminis¬ trative funds,*'.he said.This is a compjex issue.** . In an address before the Joint Legislative Audit Committee, on Aug. 26, Vice President William B. Baker stated that "the univer¬ sity takes this report very seri¬ ously.
