The Bulldogs received strong performances from starting pitchers Mike Salazar and Steve Soderstrom Jn the series'first two games. / Salazar pitched eight innings in Friday's win, scattering 10 hits while allowing one run. The victory was SalaaWsfcK' of the season. FSU led just3-l before break¬ ing the game open in the sixth. Terance Frazier opened the inning with a triple. Todd Johnson and Gary McNamara added nun-scoring singles, and the St. Mary's defense com¬ mitted two errors which fu¬ eled the five-run rally. Like Salazar, Soderstrom won for the first time in 1992.
