A 1996 National Medal of Arts awardee, Lalo’s biography has been featured in a recent book entitled "Lalo: My Life and Music". With seven decades singing and composing music, Lalo has become an icon of the Chicano working class. His song "La Cancion Mexicana" became an anthem for Mexicans on both sides of the border. |

Con siete décadas dedicadas al canto y la composición, Lalo se ha convertido en un ícono de la clase trabajadora chicana.
