Dear Lee;
Having finally caught ray breath, I can
now get started on catching up on my personal
correspondence. Retirement is indeed an
exceedingly busy time.
However late, I do want to acknowledge
and thank you for the beautiful letter you sent
to me following my retirement. Your kind words
and thoughts are very much appreciated.
Reciprocally, I want to express a thought
I have had many times: how fortunate we and the
Company have been to have you as a member of the
Board. Your insight, understanding and sense-
both business and common- enabled you to contribute
beyond measure to the deliberations and actions
of the Board. And from a personal standpoint, you
were most supportive of my efforts as CEO and for
that I am most grateful. Also, I can truthfully
add that, insofar as you ai»e concerned, I regret
that we voted in the age limit for directors.
Having said all of this, there will be
nothing left to write or say to you when you leave
the Board next year. Maybe I wont - I'll be too
sad.
Sincerely,
I \?J
