COLLECIAN The Collegian's Volume I, No. 1, was issued Wednesday, February 8, 1922. The paper appeared every other Wednesday until 1926 when il became a weekly issue. In February, 1931, the Collegian became a semi-weekly. In 1936, the Collegian became the first college paper in California to be a member of the United Press. For the last twenty-one years, the Collegian has been a semi-weekly newspaper. This year the attempt was made under Art Margosian, the editor, to advance with an eye for the future, a triweekly. (When this went to press, the Board of Publications was still discussing the possible advancement.) Laughing at the proposed fifty-cent admission increase are Haruo Yamaoka, Craig White, Pat Ward, and George Burkman of the Sports Staff. Editor-in-Chief, Art Margosian composes himself before going to a Board meeting. Bill O'Neill, Managing Editor, has switched to Calverts.
