"^Ae U<.ennel" The "Kennel," more commonly referred to as the Bookstore is even busier during the first part of the semester. The bookstore had a highly successful year. Books were smaller, prices were higher and there was no bookstore robbery of the $21,000 variety. To make things even brighter, some of the checks from the robbery turned up in irrigation canals and were redeemed. Then too, one student actually referred to the store by the name "Kennel." ^Ow ^Association o» ice Sylvia Hale, stenographer, takes shorthand as Earle Bassett, comptroller, dictates. Vernis Holmes, bookstore manager, must have found a "goody." In the northeastern confines of the campus lurk the boarders of the association office who—not infrequently —are accused of trying to run the student body. Despite the efforts of rabble-rousing student leaders, the association employees manage to turn in fairly decent or creditable performances. Rosemary Rodden, secretary, and Julia Travis, clerk typist, look on as Willa Mae McCrummen, bookkeeper proofs her work. Keitha Robertson, assistant office manager, receives material from Earle Bassett.
