■:* # :"• PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE During the past four years we have felt the impact of increasing enrollments and the pressure of growth on Fresno State. Enrollment is at an all-time high and has exceeded the 4,500 mark. Fresno State has moved into the category of big colleges; reference to it as a "small college" is a misnomer. With increased size has come expansion on other fronts. The new campus with its new_ buildings is just one evidence. Our educational program has grown too with new courses, added curricula, expanded facilities, and greater opportunities for service. To all you graduates of this dynamic institution, I extend my greetings and best wishes. As you members of the Class of 1955 leave the institution I trust that you will take with you the vision, enthusiasm and forward-looking attitude which has characterized your work and your Alma Mater's progress during the past four years. My fondest wishes go with you all! A. E. Joyal
