BOOKSTORE The Kennel, more commonly known as the Fresno State College bookstore, is owned and operated by the student body. In addition to books and school supplies, the bookstore sells gifts, stationery, art work and supplies, a variety of cards, and materials requested by instructors. Heavy sales during the start of the fall and spring semesters, an anniversary sale in March, and a paper-bound fair in the middle of November and May highlight the bookstore activities. Vernice Holmes is the bookstore manager. The office handles the bookkeeping and accounts for the college athletic teams, agricultural judging teams, speech squad, publications, plays and band. ASSOCIATION office workers Willa Mae McCrummen, bookkeeper; Keitha Robertson, assistant office manager; and Rosemary Roddin, secretary, keep FSC finance records straight. LOOKING over material typed by Sylvia Hale, stenographer, are Don Culbertson, Collegian advertising manager, and Julia Travis, clerk typist. 65
