VETERANS' DAY PARADE Kqrlene Lowe, the 1959-60 Campus Queen, made her last official appearance November 11 in Fresno's Veterans' Day parade. Riding the Queen's float were attendants Donna Love and Carol Gregg, first attendant Gwen Rogers, and ASB President Judy Hughes. The float, a project of the Freshman Women's Social Activities Group, featured a "Birds of Paradise" theme. The 32-man Fresno State Air Force ROTC drill team was among the 3,500 persons who participated in the parade. QUEEN KARLENE receives plenty of assistance with her robe and flowers from the PooH-BaaH men who escorted her to the receiving stand. FROM THE REVIEWING stand the Queen, her royal court and military officials smile as they watch the oncoming parade. DONNA LOVE and Judy Hughes watch the crowd from atop the Queen's float. A LARGE CROWD watches the precision marching of the Fresno State Air Force ROTC drill team.
